I do not charge extra for the areas I cover which include – Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire and Liverpool. Other areas in the UK may include an extra charge for travel and overnight stay.
Q How long will you stay?
A typical day is 4 – 6 hours but depending on you package I can cover the whole day if required and include the first dance, I do ask for a meal to be provided if you would like me to cover the evening reception.
Q Do you take black and white pictures?
I do provide a good mixture of black & white and sepia toned images to choose from. I am a big fan of black & white and can easily change your desired image to black & white at no extra charge.
Q How long do we have to wait for our photos?
For most of our weddings the timeline can be between 4 to 12 weeks depending on the season and workload. Please remember processing work can take time. Once you have decided on your pictures, albums can take 3 – 12 weeks for delivery.

Yes, you have total control on the images you would like in your album or I can make some suggestions for you. I do all the album design work myself. Your proof album pages can all be viewed in the client area on my website or can be burnt to a CD for you to check in your own home. Alterations can be made within the design software I use.

Q Will you take family group photos at our wedding?
Yes, I require a written list of the group photos you would like and any other photo requirements you may have. Without a list I will have to best guess the groups and other photo requirements to the best of my knowledge and experience and some family pictures may be missed. All families are different and I will not know any of your guests and family so please forward a list no later than 4 weeks before your wedding day as preparations and timings will need to be organized in advance.
Q What happens if it rains?
Living in Greater Manchester I am used to rain! I have worked in freezing fog, - 10 temeratures, gale force winds, bright sunlight, flash floods and snow!
Q What is your photography style?
My style is a mixture of contemporary and reportage. I prefer to work unobtrusively to capture natural looking pictures and the fun moments with little posing and interruption to your day.
Q Do you have liability and insurance?
Yes I have full insurance, liability and CRB checked.
Q How far in advance are you booked?
Summer dates tend to fill up very quickly, we have had some weddings booked 3 years in advance and others booked at short notice. As soon as your wedding date is set, I recommend booking your photographer as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Q Is the work on this website all yours?
Every image you see on this website was taken by me.
Q Can we have the raw files?
Unfortunately I do not provide any raw files, you are paying for a complete service and I provide my customers with a finished product.
What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?
Most of us work and even get married regardless of how we feel on the day. I have seen some very poorly Grooms! However a second shooter can be called on or another wedding photographer will be contacted in an emergency. This has never happened to me as yet.
Q We are getting married in 2013/2014 can we book now?
Yes certainly, I recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Q How can we go about booking you for our wedding?
I require a non refundable deposit of £150 to secure your wedding date.
Q Why is wedding photography more expensive now?
Wedding photography has changed so much since our parents got married, albums where very different back then with just formal poses and not much story telling. Modern wedding albums are a work of art and designing these is a time consuming process that takes lots skill from a professional wedding photographer. Photography equipment, fast lenses and pro memory cards are all very expensive. Photographers now need to be insured and have professional indemnity and liability insurance. Many hotels insist on photographers matching their own hotels liability insurance – for example if a hotel is worth 15 million the owner may insist the professional photographer’s liability insurance is also worth15 million! However we still keep our prices very competitive.
Q Do you take trash the dress type photos after the wedding?
Yes, this is a fantastic way to get extra photos and to get in your dress once again. A trash the dress photo shoot is so much fun and can take place anywhere, beach, a local beauty spot, walking through the streets of Manchester, or you may have your own ideas. Trash the dress shoots are highly discounted for all my couples. You can have your photos on a CD or a beautiful portrait album.
Q Do you take portraits?
Yes certainly. I mostly shoot natural light portraits however I have professional lighting and backgrounds for those who prefer this. If you prefer something more modern or different to the typical studio type portraits we can go to a local beauty spot for popular lifestyle portraits or the modern urban street style portraiture. I can visit families at home for natural looking portraits or meet up at a local beauty spot for some fabulous family portraits. I love to capture natural photos of children playing and being themselves, this is the best way to capture some amazing shots. Being a mum I am used to working with children of all ages and characters! I am also used to working with children who have special needs. I have some stunning portrait and family albums available, beautiful frames, enlargements, a canvas or just a simple set of prints to treasure for years to come.
Q Can we have some engagement photos taken?
Yes of course, this can be done a few months before your wedding at a local beauty spot or your chosen venue for your wedding.
If you have any more questions please feel free to get in touch.

In these circumstances coverage can be compromised. Some guests will ask the photographer to fix their cameras and to take pictures with their own cameras; this can take up precious time. Some guests will be unwilling to have their photograph taken.
• Please notify us with contact details when other professionals such as videographers are working for you so we can liaise and plan the shooting accordingly as to work together and not to get in each others way.
